Although Berlin Sports Law may from time to time create new features, or monitor or review discussions, chats, postings, transmissions, bulletin boards, and the like on the Site, Berlin Sports Law is under no obligation to do so and assumes no responsibility or liability arising from the content of any such locations nor for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations on the Site. You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane material or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law. Terms and Conditions – BSL Summer School

Welcome to the BSL Summer School in Sports Law. By registering for our program, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

General Information

The BSL Summer School is organized by Berlin Sports Law, in partnership with BGA – Brave Generation Academy and will take place from July 21 – 26, 2025, Lisbon, Portugal. The program includes lectures, workshops, site visits, and social activities as described on our website.

Eligibility & Registration

The program is open to students, graduates, and young professionals aged 18. Registration is completed through our official application form available on our website. Applications are assessed on a continuous basis and admission is subject to limited availability. Acceptance is contingent upon meeting the eligibility requirements, and successful applicants will be notified accordingly.

Payment & Fees

The total program fee is €1,900, plus VAT or other applicable taxes, excluding any bank costs or fees, which are the sole responsibility of the applicant. An Early Bird discount of €500 applies to applications submitted by 31 March 2025, reducing the fee to €1,600.

Upon acceptance, participants will receive an invoice and payment details via e-mail, including the final payment deadline.

The program fee includes one week of educational sessions conducted by practitioners from the football industry, site visits and field trips to sports institutions, cultural activities, and a participation certificate. In exceptional circumstances, program content may be subject to change.

A participant’s place in the program is confirmed only upon receipt of the full amount of the program fee.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation by the Participant:

If a participant is unable to attend the program for any reason, no refunds of the program fee will be provided. In exceptional cases, the organizers may review requests for refund, provided the participant submits a justified written request via email. The organizers retain full discretion in making the final decision.

Cancellation by the Organizer:

If an insufficient number of participants meeting the eligibility conditions submit applications, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the BSL Summer School. In such an event, already registered participants will receive a full refund of the program fee paid. The organizers will not be liable for any additional costs, expenses, or damages incurred by participants as a result of the cancellation.

In the event of cancellation of the program, the organizers shall provide written notice to all registered participants no later than June 30, 2025.

Force Majeure

The organizers will not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of the program, in whole or part, of any of the obligations arising from or attributable to acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to war; riot; civil commotion; malicious damage; compliance with any law or governmental order; rule regulation or direction; accident; the breakdown of plant or machinery; fire; earthquakes, flood; storm; pandemics (for ongoing pandemics, when government measures are in place, including but not limited to the restriction of mass gatherings or international travel), epidemics or other communicable disease or infection outbreaks whether national or international, public health emergency; a failure in the public supply of electricity, heating, lighting, air conditioning or telecommunications equipment.

If the BSL Summer School is cancelled in whole or in part due to any of the aforementioned circumstances, the organizers shall not be liable for any damages, costs, or losses incurred by participants, including but not limited to the program fee, travel expenses, and accommodation costs.

Code of Conduct

Participants are always expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. They should not engage in any form of defamation or libel against the program, its organizers, speakers, sponsors, or fellow participants. This includes, but is not limited to, the dissemination of false or misleading information, whether verbally, in writing, or via any digital or social media platform.

The organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed disruptive or inappropriate, whether before the commencement of the program or at any time during its duration, without any entitlement to a refund.

In addition, the organizers reserve the right to pursue appropriate legal remedies, including but not limited to, claims for reputational harm and monetary damages.

Liability & Insurance

Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of their travel, accommodation, health and liability insurance, as well as any required visas.

The organizers are not liable for injuries, lost items, travel disruptions, or denial of a participant’s entry into Portugal.

Use of Images

By registering for the BSL Summer School, participants grant the organizers permission for an indefinite period to use their full name, testimonials, as well as photographs and video recordings taken during the official program for marketing and promotional purposes. This includes but is not limited to posts on social media platforms, official websites, brochures, and other program-related materials. The photographs and video recordings might contain logos of the organizers’ partners.

Privacy & Data Protection

Applicants’ personal data is collected and processed in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) and other applicable legislation.

Personal data collected during registration will be used solely for program administration and communication.

Applicants’ personal data will not be disclosed to third parties without their consent, except as required or permitted by law.
